Sod Farming in Ontario Videography

Photography, ground video and aerial footage of sod farms, heavy farming equipment and generations of sod farmers.

At the end of 2022 we spent 8 days visiting sod farms across Ontario and interviewed members of the NSGA, sod farmers, and operators. The project involved documenting various aspects of agricultural practices, landscapes, crops, machinery, and the people involved in agricultural activities.

Interview videos often can yield a lot of content, we created a series of shorter form videos based off some of the questions that were asked various farmers. These videos are being used to inform the public and legislators and help raise awareness about sustainable farming practices, environmental issues, and the relationship between agriculture and biodiversity. Agriculture photography and video can shed light on the importance of responsible farming methods, conservation efforts, and the impact of agriculture on ecosystems.
